NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 PUBLIC FOOTPATH ABINGDON 33 AND RADLEY 5

(TWELVE ACRE DRIVE, ABINGDON)

PUBLIC FOOTPATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024

The above Order was made 4 July 2024 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 because it is satisfied that it is necessary to divert the footpath to which this Order relates in order to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 namely: residential development of up to 900 dwellings and 50 retirement homes (use class C3), together with

a local centre, (including: 2.2HA site for a 1.5fe primary school, community hub, care homes comprising up to 80 beds, children's nursery, public house/restaurant, retail and other services (use classes A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, B1, C2, D1 and D2) public open space, recreation areas and sports pitches (including sports pavilion and multi-use games area) play areas, acoustic bund with fencing, and associated infrastructure including roads, sewers and attenuation ponds. A subsequent planning permission (P22/V0680/RM) was granted on 22 February 2023 for Reserved Matters Application -Residential development for erection of 371 dwellings, pavilion and sports pitches within 2 phases of the North Abingdon Development Eastern Parcel Areas A and B.

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of Vale of White Horse District Council from 8.30 a.m to 4.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £10. Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent by email to registration@southandvale.gov.uk or delivered in writing addressed to Planning Registration, Vale of White Horse District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abington, OX14 3JE not later than 8 August 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Vale of White Horse District Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

The whole width of that part of Public Footpath, Abingdon 33 commencing at Grid reference SU 50606 99278 (point A) northeastwards for approximately 489 metres to SU 50956 99613 (point D), in a northerly direction for approximately 9 metres to SU 50956 99621 (point E). Footpath The whole width of that part of Public Footpath, Radley 5, commencing at Grid reference SU 50958 99621 (point E) in a northly direction for approximately 21 metres to SU 50956 99644 (point F)
