Regulations 2017 Notice Under Regulation 21(1)

The proposed development at Cloburn Quarry A73 from Symington A72 to Hyndford Bridge Thankerton Biggar, ML11 8SR,  is subject to environmental impact assessment under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental

Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.

Notice is hereby given that an Environmental Impact Assessment report (EIA report) has been submitted to South Lanarkshire Council by  relating to the planning application in respect of Section 42 application to delete condition 29 and to vary conditions 02, 05, 08, 19 and 34 attached to Planning Permission CL/09/0086 for  extension to quarry, creation of new access, continued operation of asphalt and concrete plants and final restoration of the site.

Possible decisions relating to the planning application are:–

(i)  approval of the application without conditions; (ii)  approval of the application with conditions; (iii)  refuse permission.

Any person who wishes to make representations to South Lanarkshire Council about the EIA report should make them in writing within 30 days of the date of this notice to the Head of Planning and Regulatory Services at Floor 6, Council Offices, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, ML3 0AA or by email to planning@southlanarkshire.gov.uk, or online at www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk.

Please note that all emails or letters of objection or support for an application, including your name and address require to be open to public inspection and will be published on the Council’s website. Sensitive personal information such as signatures, email address and phone numbers will usually be removed.

If the developer is required to submit any supplementary information about a matter to be included in the EIA report, then further notice of this will be published and an additional period of 30 days given for representations to be made.
