Lyneham, Application For Consent To Carry Out Restricted Works On Common Land

What is planned?

LYNEHAM GREEN

Gladman Developments Ltd has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Lyneham Green, which is Registered Common Land. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.

The proposed works comprise the construction of part of the bellmouth of a new access road into a proposed new development, to connect it with the existing Chippenham Road (the B4069) at Lyneham and will include the construction of a footway on the eastern side of the access road and the southern side of Chippenham Road. The works will also include the installation of services including electricity, water, communications and sewers and will be surrounded by temporary fencing during construction for the safety of passers-by.

A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Lyneham Post Office, St Andrews Court, The Green, Lyneham, SN15 4PD during normal office hours until Thursday 25th July 2024.
