NOTICE OF MAKING OF STOPPING UP ORDER SECTION 247 TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton, Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1EA (hereinafter called "the Council") has drafted an order ("The Order") pursuant to section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (hereinafter called "the Act") in respect of:
The existing highway relating to 81-85 Central Road and the corner of Windsor Road is made up of an existing area of steel columns within the development, comprising of an area of 14.97m2 ("the Footpaths") highlighting the dimensions of the area.
The extent of the Footpaths that will be subject to the Order are shown on the plan attached to the Order. The effect of the Order would be that the said Footpaths would cease to be public highway.
The Council is satisfied that it is necessary to stop up the Footpaths that are subject to this Order to allow for the implementation of the planning permission described in the Schedule.
The Council will formally consider any objections to the making of the Order which are submitted to it within the 28 day consultation period commencing on 28 June 2024, ending on 29 July 2024. Any objections must be in writing and sent to the South London Legal Partnership at Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden SM4 5DX or by email to hassan.bokhari@merton.gov.uk quoting reference CS/LEG/HB/2143/17.
A copy of the Order and a map defining the land to which it relates can be inspected at Council Offices at Reception, Civic Offices, St. Nicholas Way, Sutton, SM1 1 EA, from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.45pm on Friday (excluding bank and public holidays) until 29 July 2024.

The variation of Condition 18 (Drawing numbers) of the planning permission bearing refence number A2017/77739 for the erection of a new second and third floors incorporating three 1 - bedroomed , four 2-bedroomed and two 3 - bedroomed self-contained flats together with associated stair and lift enclosure, refuse store at ground level and cycle facilities at first floor with a total of seven car parking spaces at rear and alterations to ground and first floor elevations', to incorporate steel columns to the frontage and alter the height of the mansard roof.
