Tuppeny Barn, Main Rd, Southbourne - Planning Application
What is planned?
Tuppeny Barn Seek planning permission to secure future growth.
“In order to continue the success story of the Tuppenny Barn Charity, a planning application has been submitted for an exceptional architect-designed scheme of 7 contemporary eco-homes on land at Tuppenny Barn. Submitted by Smith Simmons & Partners, on behalf of specialist local house builder Junnell Homes working closely together with Tuppenny Barn, the small scale residential scheme designed by multi award-winning Adam Knibb Architects of Winchester comprises a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed properties and has been carefully considered to respond to the eco-building of Tuppenny Barn, the special landscape setting and local character of the wider settlement.
Unlocking this part of the site is necessary to facilitate an essential restructuring of the freehold ownership, enabling The Charity to secure the remainder of the site on a new long-term lease to safeguard its future in this location. In addition, a percentage of proceeds will be donated to the 'Transforming Tuppenny Appeal’, for a new multi-purpose learning centre, community cafe and organic shop, on lan adjoining the application site.
Full details of the application can be viewed on Chichester District Council’s website
