The following applications have been received by the Council and are required to be advertised under the above Acts:

A/24/97281/MAJPSI LA Central Park Montrose Avenue Wigan WN5 9XL. Erection of two single storey new build education blocks, renovation of an existing education block including new canopy to side and external alterations with associated works to form playgrounds including free-standing canopy and relocated play equipment, erection of new substation, car parking, minibus drop-off, and upgraded site boundary fence, and biodiversity planting

The Council has received the following planning application which is located within a Conservation Area: Wigan Pier.

A/24/97376/FULL Land Adjacent Car Park Corkills of Wigan Ltd Pennyhurst Street Wigan. Erection of industrial unit to accommodate car valeting with associated car parking and new vehicular access onto Herbert St.

A planning application has been made to Wigan Council for the above proposal, which the Council considers would affect the character or appearance of the Conservation Area.
