What is planned?

NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 20 OF THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) REGULATIONS 2017 as amended

An application under Section 73 of the Town and County Planning Act 1990 (as amended) to amend planning permission DMPA/2022/1153 has been made by CEG Land Promotions Limited and has been submitted to South Derbyshire District Council, Planning Department, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote DE11 0AH.

The application was made on 04 March 2024.

The application is for the following development: The removal of condition 31 of permission ref: DMPA/2022/1153 (relating to restriction of development) which itself was an application for the variation of condition 31 relating to planning permission ref: DMPA/2020/0543 (relating to the residential development of up to 1,100 dwellings, an extra care facility, a local centre comprising: a small supermarket with a floorspace not exceeding 1000 sqm (net); a smaller retail unit with a total floorspace not exceeding 200sqm (net); a café/restaurant with a floorspace not exceeding 200sqm (net); a public house with a floorspace not exceeding 650sqm (net); a doctors surgery or crèche; and a community facility, as well as a primary school together with associated playing fields and the provision of associated infrastructure (including roads, footpaths, cycleways, sustainable urban drainage and open space)) at land at New House Farm, Etwall Road, Mickleover, Derby, DE3 0DN.

An electronic copy of the application, including the associated plans, documents and the environmental statement may be viewed on a website maintained by South Derbyshire District Council, which is available at: https://planning.southderbyshire.gov.uk/Applications.aspx.

Application reference number DMPA/2024/0351 should be
entered in the search facility.

The documents will be available to be inspected by the public for 30 days beginning with the day on which the information is published on the website and the Environmental Statement has been submitted. The latest day they will be available for access will be 6th July 2024. Any person wishing to make representations about the application must make them in writing before the expiry of 30 days of the information being published on the website and no later than 6th July 2024.

Representations must be submitted to South Derbyshire District Council by:

- Writing to South Derbyshire District Council, Planning Department, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote DE11 0AH and quoting application reference DMPA/2024/0351 in the correspondence;

- Writing to the Council using the ‘submit comment’ function on the Council’s website at https://planning.southderbyshire.gov.uk/Applications.aspx entering application reference number DMPA/2024/0351 in the search facility; or

- E-mailing the Council at planning@southderbyshire.gov.uk and quoting application reference number DMPA/2024/0351 in the correspondence.
