VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY (COMMUNITY EVENTS)
(NO. 2) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of Rochester Castle Live event, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the event is taking place.
Traffic Management - To facilitate the holding of the event mentioned in column (1) of the Table, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply. These provisions will be in force as indicated in the Schedule below.
The restrictions specified in the schedule to this notice will not apply to police or emergency services’ vehicles and access will be maintained where practicable – to include authorised event service vehicles.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained.
This order will come into force on Saturday, 29 June 2024, and will cease to have effect on Friday, 12 July 2024. The order will only be effective when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Schedule RCL-1:
Intermittent road closures and traffic restrictions
Castle Hill from its junction with Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include Castle Hill Court – to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access.
Epaul Lane from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access. Boley Hill from its junction with High Street to its junction with St Margarets Street. The roads above will be closed intermittently throughout these dates to allow for vehicle/
plant ingress and/or egress to the Castle Gardens and Castle Moat area.
Schedule RCL-2:
Road closures and traffic restrictions
Castle Hill from its junction with Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include Castle Hill Court– to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident and event vehicle access. Epaul Lane from its junction with Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow event vehicle access.
Boley Hill from its junction with St Margarets Street to its junction with High Street, to include its junction with College Yard/The Precinct.
Boley Hill at its junction with High Street, suspension of no left or right turn for authorised vehicles only – (0800hrs to midnight).
Schedule RCL-3:
High Street Rochester from its junction with Corporation Street bus lane to its northwestern junction of Blue Boar Lane - to include suspension of one-way operation and no entry for authorised vehicles only. Northgate from its junction with Cathedral car park to its junction with High Street.
Esplanade from its junction with High Street to its northern junction with Bakers Walk. A2 eastbound, prohibited right turn to Esplanade, Rochester.
Schedule RCL-4:
Suspension of on-street parking bays as indicated by signs. Suspension of single yellow line restrictions to no parking at any time, as indicated by signs and AAT cones.
From 06:00hrs on Friday, 5 July to 06:00hrs on Monday, 8 July inclusive
Esplanade – from its junction of High Street to its northern junction with Bakers Walk
(western and eastern sides), excluding Rochester Bridge Trust bays.
Castle Hill – from its junction with Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane.

WOULDHAM ROAD, ROCHESTER:
CHANGES TO WAITING RESTRICTIONS
NOTICE OF MAKING
The Medway Council (Rochester) (Parking Places and Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.23) order 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Medway Council on 10 June 2024 made the abovementioned order under sections 1, 2 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation act 1984, as amended.
2. The effect of the order, which comes into operation on 17 June 2024, will be to extend existing lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north side of Wouldham Road and introduce a new restriction on the south side of the road as follows:
(a) the north side
(i) from 11.84 metres south-west of the west kerb-line of Warwick Crescent, for 6.5 metres in a north-east direction to join up with the existing lines;
(ii) from 12.08 metres north-east of the east kerb-line of Warwick Crescent, for 6 metres in a south-west direction to join up with the existing lines;
(b) the south side, from a point opposite a point 5.34 metres west of the west kerb-line of Warwick Crescent, for a distance of 19 metres in a north-easterly direction.
3. Copies of the order and of other documents giving more detailed particulars of the order can be requested by sending an email to parkingdesign@medway.gov.uk or by writing to Parking Design team, Medway Council, Gun Wharf, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR before
the end of a period of six weeks from the date on which the order was made.
4. Persons wishing to question the validity of the order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 act, or that any requirement of the act or any instrument made under the act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the above date on which the order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

TRAFALGAR STREET, GILLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to carry out gully and linear drainage cleaning -
Trafalgar Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between from the junction with Balmoral Avenue and to the junction with Canterbury Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. One-way restrictions will be suspended to facilitate access.
An alternative route will be available via Duncan Road, Balmoral Road, High Street and Canterbury Street.
This order will come into force on Wednesday, 26 June 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Wednesday, 26 June 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are
being displayed.

PUMP LANE, RAINHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new gully to be installed -
Pump Lane, Rainham - to be closed to all vehicular through traffic between the junction with Beechings Way and the junction with Lower Rainham Road. The point of closure will be opposite 281 Pump Lane. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be provided and signed via A289.
This order will come into force on Monday, 15 July 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 15 July 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days.
The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are
being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable a new water supply to be installed -
Jeffery Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with West Street and and the junction with Victoria Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.
An alternative route will be available via Railway Street.
This order will come into force on Monday, 17 June 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 17 June 2024 and are programmed for completion within five days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable telecommunications works to be carried out -
Garden Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Mansion Row and the junction with Mansion Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.
An alternative route will be available via Wood Street.
This order will come into force on Thursday, 11 July 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 11 July 2024 and are programmed for completion within one day (with works taking place between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The order
will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

FOX STREET, GILLINGHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable services to be connected to a property -
Fox Street, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 40 Fox Street. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Arden Street.
This order will come into force on Monday, 17 June 2024 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 17 June 2024 and are programmed for completion within two weeks. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs
are being displayed.
