(Bridge Street, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Bridge Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with The Gravel for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Bridge Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree from its junction with The Gravel to its junction with West Street as detailed in 'The County Council of Essex (Bridge Street & The Gravel, Coggeshall) (One Way Traffic) Order 1971' for the duration of the above closure only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 13th June 2024 for 2 nights (20:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (BC008OGEA75969197 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Bridge Street, Grange Hill, Kelvedon Road, Coggeshall Road, Station Road, Feering Hill, London Road, A12, Marks Tey Roundabout, A120, Colchester Road, East Street, Bridge Street and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 23rd May 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
