NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF DRAFT SUPPLEMENTARY GUIDANCE,

NON-STATUTORY PLANNING GUIDANCE AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN

SCHEME 2024

Notice is hereby given that East Ayrshire Council will publish draft supplementary guidance and non statutory planning guidance on 24 May 2024. The draft supplementary guidance comprises; (i) Housing in the countryside; (ii) Listed buildings and conservation areas; (iii) Energy and EV charging and; (iv) Local landscape areas. The draft non-statutory planning guidance comprises; (i) Local nature conservation sites; (ii) Strategic woodland creation and; (iii) Employment and skills training plan. The guidance will support the East Ayrshire Local Development Plan 2.

The guidance can be viewed at:

(1) The Council's website at www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk;

(2) All community libraries within East Ayrshire (online); and

(3) Council offices at London Road, Kilmarnock and Rothesay House, Cumnock.

East Ayrshire Council will at the same time also publish its draft Development Plan Scheme, which sets the timetable for the preparation of Local Development Plan 3. This includes a participation statement, which sets out how, when and with whom the Council will undertake public engagement on Local Development Plan 3. Feedback is invited on the draft participation statement. The Development Plan Scheme and participation statement can be viewed online at www.east-ayrshire.gov.uk

Representations to the draft guidance documents and participation statement are invited and should preferably be sent by email to localdevelopmentplans@east-ayrshire.gov.uk. They may also be made in writing by addressing them to: Development Planning and Regeneration, East Ayrshire Council, the Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock, KA1 1DD.

Representations should clearly state the name and address of the respondent and the document to which they relate. Representations must be received by the Council no later than 4pm on Friday 21 June 2024.
