PUBLIC NOTICES

The Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997
Stirling Tree Preservation Order (No.1) 2024
(Oak Tree in garden ground of 41 Station Road Killearn)

Notice is hereby given that Stirling Council (referred to below as the “Council”) as Planning Authority in exercise of their powers conferred upon them by Section 160 of the Act have made the Stirling Tree Preservation Order (No.1) 2024 (referred to below as the “Order”). The Order takes effect from 15 May 2024.
The Order has been made for the reason that the Oak tree is visually prominent, adds to the attractiveness and characteristics of the area, and contributes to the amenity of Station Road, Killearn, Stirling. The works in relation to planning application 23/00719/FUL may adversely affect the long-term condition of the tree. The TPO will ensure the retention of the tree, and allow the Council to prevent tree work which would harm amenity, and to place appropriate conditions on any consent for tree work.

A copy of the Order will be deposited at the Balfron Library, 71 Buchanan St, Balfron, Glasgow G63 0TW for inspection by any person without payment on Monday and Friday (9am-1pm, 2pm-5pm), Tuesday and Thursday (9am-1pm, 2pm-7pm) and Saturday 9:30am to 12:30pm) and at the offices of the Planning Authority at Teith House, Kerse Rd, Stirling FK7 7QA during the hours of 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. An electronic copy of the Order can be requested to this email address: planning@stirling.gov.uk

Representations may be made in writing, stating the ground for any objection to the Order, specifying the particular tree(s) to which the objection relates, and must be received by the planning authority no later than Monday 24 June 2024.

Objections and representations should be sent to the Chief Planning Officer, Teith House, Kerse Rd, Stirling FK7 7QA or by email to planning@stirling.gov.uk
