Notice of Intention to Sell - Timber Batts Inn, School Hill, Bodsham, Kent TN25 5JQ
The Timber Batts Inn was listed as an Asset of Community Value under the provisions of the Localism Act 2011 on 09 August 2023.
The extent of the listed land is shown on Folkestone & Hythe District Council’s website at:https://www.folkestone-hythe.gov.uk/planning/planning-policy/assets-of-community-value
On 10 April 2024 the district council received notification from the landowner that it wishes to sell the site.
If a community interest group makes a written request to the district council that it wishes to buy the land, the district council will inform the landowner. A six-month moratorium period will then come into force restricting the sale of the land, other than to a community interest group, to allow the interested group(s) time to raise funds for the purchase. The landowner is not obliged to sell the site to any bidder.
Community interest groups must notify Folkestone & Hythe District Council by 22 May 2024 if they wish to be treated as a bidder.
