What is planned?

Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

North Yorkshire Council (Craven) has received the following applications that are required to be advertised under the above legislation for the reasons stated.

Proposal: Listed building works in association with proposed conversion of former squash courts/store and demolitions to create a new single dwelling for Mr DTD Burns Location: Former Squash Court Building, Now Store on The Corner of Duke Street and Main Street High Bentham Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/25928/HH. Proposal: Construction of area deck to rear, at first floor level for Mr Julian Hotchkiss Location: 7 Spindle Mill Skipton BD23 1NY Reason(s): Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA24/25899/VAR. Proposal: Application to vary condition no 2 (variation to plot 25) of allowed planning appeal decision referenced APP/ C2708/W/23/3316871 relating to planning application referenced 2022/23854/FUL for Calvert Homes (Cononley) Ltd. Location: Land Off Meadow Lane/Meadow Close Cononley BD20 8LL Reason(s): Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area. Is a Major Development proposal.

Application No: ZA24/25900/VAR. Proposal: Application to vary condition no 2 (Proposed first floor bedrooms over ground floor garages to plots 3, 4, 5 & 6) of allowed planning appeal decision referenced APP/ C2708/W/23/3316871 relating to planning application referenced 2022/23854/FUL for Calvert Homes (Cononley) Ltd. Application No: ZA24/25910/HH. Proposal: Construction of two storey rear extension to the southern elevation for Mr & Mrs John Paul & Joanne Kelly. Location: 17 Hayfield View Glusburn BD20 8DZ Reason(s): Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/25934/LBC. Proposal: Replacement of 5 No. windows for Mr Chris McLeister Location: 10 Marton House Church Lane East Marton BD23 3LP Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building. Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA24/25919/HH. Proposal: Single storey rear extension for Mr C Bovaird Location: 23 Regent Road Skipton BD23 1AT Reason(s): Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area.

Application No: ZA24/25882/FUL Proposal: Conversion and extension of outbuilding to form 1no. self-build dwelling for Mr J Wood Location: Norwood House Low Lane Cowling BD22 0LE Reason(s): Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/25905/AGRRES. Proposal: Prior approval notification for change of use of agricultural building to a dwellinghouse under Class Q (a and b) for 5 Spensley & Co Location: Marsh Barn Hellifield Road Gargrave BD23 3NB Reason(s): Prior Notification for Change of Use

Application No: ZA23/25637/LBC. Proposal: Conversion of part of former printworks to enlarge existing dwelling, new bedroom, shower and utility rooms, new rear porch for Mr Nick Metcalfe Location: Esh Bottom Bell Busk BD23 4DU Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/25889/FUL. Proposal: Proposed roof over the existing handling pens for JA & JM Wade 6 Son. Location: Lingah Hill Royd House Cononley Road Glusburn Reason(s): Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA24/25856/FUL. Proposal: Conversion of stable block to residential annexe and temporary accommodation until adjacent house is constructed for Mr Douglass Price. Location: Moss End Farm Moss End Lane Cowling BD22 0NA Reason(s): Would affect the route of a public right of way.

The applications are available to view and for comment online at publicaccess.cravendc.gov.uk/online-applications/ or electronically at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.

Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 17th May 2024. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet.
