Brickendon - Planning Application For Restricted Works
What is planned?
BRICKENDON COMMON, Parish of Brickendon, Town of Brickendon, County of Hertfordshire
Fisher German, on behalf of UK Power Networks, has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under Section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Brickendon Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The proposed works are: UK Power Networks are looking to install a new substation and to install a new underground cable from the substation that runs south to Brickendon. A second cable is to be installed that runs north towards the existing “Sewards” substation. The site will be fully reinstated following completion of all works, which are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Hertford Library, 10 Dolphin Yard, Maidenhead Street, Hertford SG14 1DR between hours/days as shown below, until Friday the 17th of May 2024. Monday 9:30am - 5:30pm, Tuesday 1pm - 6pm, Wednesday - Closed, Thursday 9:30am - 6pm, Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm, Saturday 9:30am - 5pm, Sunday - Closed.
