Proposed Development at Aldwark Quarry (part of Brassington Moor Quarry Complex), Longcliffe, Brassington

I give notice that Longcliffe Quarries Limited is applying for planning permission for the extension of the existing Aldwark Quarry to the south with restoration to a nature conservation based afteruse, retention of the existing Brassington Moor Quarry plant site, amendment to the approved phasing and restoration of Aldwark, Pyre and Barnfield/Main quarries, and construction of associated facilities, including a vehicular connection onto and use of, the existing road access serving the adjacent Curzon transport depot. Together with a proposal to allow quarrying and primary crushing on Bank Holidays to serve the animal feeds market.
Members of the public may inspect copies of the application, plans and other documents submitted with it by prior arrangement at Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AG, tel. 01629 539800 (available online at www.derbyshire.gov.uk), or at the Planning Department, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Town Hall, Matock, DE4 3NN available online at https://www.chesterfield.gov.uk) during all reasonable until 20 May 2024.
Hard copies of the Environmental Statement (ES) are available for a charge of £150 (plus VAT) from Longcliffe Quarries Head Office, Longcliffe, Brassington, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 4HN.
Anyone who wishes to make representations to the County Council about this application should do so by 20 May 2024, by writing to the Executive Director of Place, at the County Council postal address given above, by email to: planningrepresentations@derbyshire.gov.uk,or by using the facility for representations about current planning applications available on the Council’s website www.derbyshire.gov.uk.
