REASON FOR HEARING

Appeals by Mr Richard Casey against the refusal to grant planning permission by Central Bedfordshire Council as Local Planning Authority for Change of use of land to use as a residential caravan site with a total of 5 caravans, including no more than 3 static caravans/mobile homes, together with laying of hardstanding and erection of 2 ancillary amenity buildings.

Without planning permission, the Unauthorised Operational Development of the Land, including the installation of electrical wiring, the installation of a sewage provision underground and the laying of hard standing. (“Unauthorised Operational Development”).

AND

Without planning permission, the Unauthorised Material Change of Use of Green Belt land for use as a Gypsy and Traveller site with the stationing of caravans for residential use. (“Unauthorised Change of Use”). At Plot 6, The Stables, Stanbridge Road, Billington, LU7 9JH

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold a Hearing opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal. The Hearing will be held as an entirely In Person event run by Central Bedfordshire Council.

Anyone wishing to attend the Hearing must make that interest known to the Central Bedfordshire Council’s Appeals Team as soon as possible prior to the Hearing, by emailing planning.appeals@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk after reading the Hearing Attendance Information set out below. When contacting the Appeals Team, it would be helpful if you could confirm whether you want to take an active part in the proceedings or attend only as an observer. This information will need to be provided to the Planning Inspector.

All written submissions from application and appeal stage will be taken into account by the Inspector. Re-stating the same points won’t add any additional weight to them.
