What is planned?

Pre-Application Consultation
Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013, as amended

Notice under Regulation 7(2)(b) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 2013, as amended

Pre-application consultation by Midlothian Council and the University of Edinburgh, in respect of proposed erection of a high school, ASN facility and community facilities, swimming pool, veterinary clinic and associated works on land east and west of Seafield Moor Road, Bilston, Roslin.

The Applicant has put in place the following pre-application consultation arrangements for the first public exhibition event:
A public exhibition will be held on 18 April 2024 between 4pm and 8pm at Beeslack Community High School, Edinburgh Road, Penicuik, EH26 0QF, where representatives of the prospective Applicant will be available to discuss the proposals.
Details of the proposed development will also be available to view at
www.holderplanning.com.
Comments on the proposed development can be made using the consultation response
feedback form which will be available at the public exhibition and from
www.holderplanning.com. Alternatively comments can be made by email or in writing or by telephone, using the contact details below. Comments should be submitted by 25 April 2024.
Further information and paper copies of the presentation and feedback form can be
obtained by contacting the Applicant via the contact details set out below. Persons unable to return feedback forms via email, should return completed feedback forms to the Applicant at the postal address below.

Please be advised that the public exhibition and associated public engagement outlined above does not form part of the Beeslack Community High School relocation and catchment realignment consultation, which is subject to separate consultation procedures.

Comments should not be made to Midlothian Council in its capacity as planning authority. Any comments made to the prospective Applicant are not representations to Midlothian Council in its capacity as planning authority. If a planning application is submitted to Midlothian Council in its capacity as planning authority, normal neighbour notification and publicity will be undertaken at that time and you will have the opportunity to make formal representations regarding the proposal.
