TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT  MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 - PUBLIC NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 15 PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS ACT 1990

The following application for Planning Permission, accompanied by an Environmental Statement, has been received:

Planning Application No: CB/24/00554/MW (registered 09/02/2024)

Reason for Publicity:    Departure from Development Plan/Accompanying Environmental Statement/Affects Public Right of Way/ Affects Listed Building or its Setting/Affects Conservation Area/Major Development/Constitutes a Minerals & Waste Application/General Publicity.

Location:  Grovebury Quarry, Grovebury Road, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 0QU

Proposed Development:  Proposed development comprising of the following main elements:

southern extension of Grovebury Quarry to the south of the existing quarry lake;

importation of inert restoration materials;

changes to existing approved restoration scheme including final restoration landform;

recycling operations to include aggregate & soil recycling, treatment & processing; and

retention of existing access, minerals processing plant, stockpiling storage area, site offices and car parking.  ( EIA application accompanied by an Environmental Statement)
