Appropriation Of Land Local Government Act 1972 Section 122 Land At Mellor Brook, Preston New Road, Blackburn

NOTICE is hereby given under Section 122 of the Local Government Act 1972 that Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council intends to appropriate land comprising approximately 13.89 acres or thereabouts of Land at Mellor Brook, Preston New Road, Blackburn shown (for identification purposes only) edged red below, to enable the land to be developed for housing. The land is to be appropriated for planning purposes pursuant to s226 Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

Any comments to the intended appropriation of the land can either be made in writing and addressed to: Mr Asad Laher, Deputy Director of Legal and Governance, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, Town Hall, Blackburn, BB1 7DY or by email to asad.laher@blackburn.gov.uk no later than 9th April 2024 at 4pm.
