Planning Application ref. CB/21/01019/FULL and  Enforcement Notice ref. CB/EN/21/0108

Site Location: The Huts, Thorncote Road, Hatch, Sandy SG19 1PU

REASON FOR HEARING

Appeal by Mr J Robb against the refusal to grant planning permission by Central Bedfordshire Council as Local Planning Authority for planning application ref CB/21/01019 for part retrospective change of use of land for the creation of a two pitch Traveller site, comprising the siting of 2 mobile homes, 2 touring caravans, erection of 2 dayrooms, erection of CCTV camera with post, and associated works; and

Appeal lodged against Enforcement Notice ref. CB/EN/21/0108 for the following:

Without planning permission, the material change of use of land from commercial to Gypsy & Traveller site involving the siting of 2 static caravans and 3 touring caravans; and Without planning permission, operational development including the erection of timber fencing and access gates and the laying of hardstanding and installation of foul water/ sewage drainage.

An Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State will hold a Hearing opening on the date shown above to decide the appeal. The Hearing will be held as an entirely In Person event run by Central Bedfordshire Council.

Anyone wishing to attend the Hearing must make that interest known to the Central Bedfordshire Council’s Appeals Team as soon as possible prior to the Hearing, by emailing planning.appeals@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk after reading the Hearing Attendance Information set out below. When contacting the Appeals Team, it would be helpful if you could confirm whether you want to take an active part in the proceedings or attend only as an observer. This information will need to be provided to the Planning Inspector.

All written submissions from application, notice and appeal stage will be taken into account by the Inspector. Re-stating the same points won’t add any additional weight to them.
