Notice of Confirmation of Direction Made Under Article 4 (1)

Notice is Hereby Given that North Northamptonshire Council has confirmed the Direction made under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) which affects certain land in North Northamptonshire. The Direction applies to development described in the following schedule in respect of land within Kingswood ward in Corby, as shown within the red line boundary plan accompanying the Direction.
Schedule
Development comprising change of use from a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of the Town and County Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended) to a use falling within Class C4 (houses in multiple occupation) of that Order.
The effect of the Direction is that permission granted by Article 3 of the General Permitted Development Order shall not apply to development of the type specified in the above Schedule and that such development shall not be carried out on the Land unless planning permission is granted by the Council on an application made to the Council under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) from the date when the Direction comes into force. Planning Permission will therefore be required for change of use from Class C3 to Class C4 once the Article 4 Direction is in force, which is 24 April 2024.
