NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR THE REGISTRATION OF LAND AS A TOWN OR VILLAGE GREEN To every reputed owner, lessee, tenant or occupier of any part of the land described below, and to all others whom it may concern.
Application has been made to the registration authority, Birmingham City Council at the Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB (“the Authority”) by Councillor Barbara Dring of 105 Weybourne Road, Great Barr, Birmingham, B44 9DD, under section 15(1) of the Commons Act 2006 and in accordance with the Commons (Registration of Town or Village Greens) (Interim Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2007.
The application seeks the inclusion in the register of town and village greens of the land described in the Schedule below which is claimed to have qualified for registration as a town or village green on 11 January 2023 by virtue of the continuous usage by a significant number of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood within the locality, for lawful sports and pastimes as of right on the land for a period of at least 20 years.
The application, which includes a plan of the land proposed for registration may be inspected at the following office: the Council House, Victoria Square, Birmingham B1 1BB between the hours of 9am to 5pm Mondays to Thursdays and 9am to 4pm on Fridays.
If the registration authority is satisfied that the land described below qualifies for registration as a town or village green, it will so register the land.
Any person wishing to object to the registration of the land as a town or village green should send a statement of the facts on which the objection is based to Sonia Banger, Principal Legal Assistant, Legal and Governance Department PO Box 15992, Birmingham, B2 2UQ (quoting reference LS/PLG/SOB/185042 on or before 29 April 2024.
Any representations are to be taken into account by the Authority in reaching a decision on the application and cannot be treated as confidential and will be copied to the applicant for comment and may be disclosed to other interested parties.

SCHEDULE
A roughly rectangular shaped area of land in Great Barr in the City of Birmingham known locally as ‘The Glenmead Unattached School Playing Field’ with its boundary marked by the south western side of Meadthorpe Road and the north eastern and north western sides of Glenmead Road.
