What is planned?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled "The Stopping up of Highway (South East) (No. 07) Order 2024" authorising the stopping up of a part width of Hayley Avenue, including footpath at Chipping Norton, in the District of West Oxfordshire. This is to enable development as permitted by West Oxfordshire District Council, under reference 22/02980/FUL.

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/SE/S247/5510. They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Chipping Norton Post Office, 4-5 High Street, Chipping Norton, OX7 5AB.

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 07 March 2024.
