What is planned?

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990,
SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
OLDHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 61 OLDHAM)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

The above order was made on 29th February 2024. The effect of the order will be to divert the public footpath as detailed below.

Footpath 61 Oldham - Part of Footpath 61 Oldham commencing on Olive Claydon Way, Hollinwood, Oldham at point A (GR SD90701 02310) proceeding in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 276 metres to point B (GR SD90746 02038) where the path crosses Roman Road and continues south on its existing alignment will be diverted at point C on Olive Claydon Way (GR SD90698 02307) proceeding in a southwesterly direction along the gravel path for a distance of approximately 44 metres to point D (GR SD90665 02284) then proceeding in a generally southerly direction along the western boundary of the industrial site for a distance of approximately 267 metres to point E (GR SD90704 02037) then proceeding in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 47 metres to point B to cross Roman Road and proceeding south on its existing alignment as shown on the order map.

A copy of the order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Civic Entrance, Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham OL1 1UL from 8.40am and 5.00pm on Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.

Any representations about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Environment Group Solicitor, Civic Centre, West Street, Oldham OL1 1UL or by email to alan.evans@oldham.gov.uk (Ref AE/FD2/24) not later than 10th April 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Oldham Borough Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
