Notice of Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) to be published in a local newspaper under regulation 7(2)
Tarmac, the prospective applicant, hereby gives notice of a Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) to be undertaken in advance of the submission of a planning application to the City of Edinburgh Council for an extension to Ravelrig Quarry, Long Dalmahoy Road, Edinburgh, EH27 8EF to allow the
continued extraction of hard rock, rock processing and despatch of aggregates.
In accordance with the Regulations, a public event is to be held at Balerno Bowling Club, 5 Ladycroft, Balerno, EH14 7AG on Monday 18 th March 2024 between 3pm and 8pm. This will be a walk in event, with copies of all plans and reports relevant to the proposal available for viewing and
representatives from Dalgleish Associates Ltd, planning and environmental consultants, and Tarmac will be available to answer questions on all aspects of the proposal.
Details of the proposal are available for viewing online on Tarmac’s website (ravelrig.tarmac.com). Information in respect of the proposal may also be obtained by mail from Dalgleish Associates Ltd, 1 Sinclairs Street, Dunblane, FK15 0AH, by telephone on 01786 822339 or by email to

Comment sheets will be available at the public meeting for any members of the public or interested parties who wish to make written comment. Alternatively, written comments, in relation to the proposal, may be made online on Tarmac’s website or sent by letter or email to Dalgleish Associates
Ltd no later than 15th April 2024.
Please note that this is a pre-application consultation and that any comments made at this stage should be directed to the Applicants and will be considered in the finalisation of the planning application. It should also be noted that comments made to the Applicants are not representations
to the Planning Authority. When the Applicants submit the application to the City of Edinburgh Council there will be an opportunity for interested parties to view the finalised proposals and to make representations to the Planning Authority at that time.
