What is planned?

Notice of Consultation under Regulation 19 on
the Pre-Submission Revised Publication of the
Selby Local Plan Development Plan Document
2024.
North Yorkshire Council (the Council) is continuing
to prepare a new Local Plan for the Selby area. The
Selby Local Plan Pre-Submission Revised Publication
Consultation document (including the Policies Map)
sets out the Council’s approach to development
in the former Selby district area up to 2040 for
the location of new housing, employment and
other developments and the new planning policies
for the assessment of planning applications.
From 8 March 2024, the Pre-Submission Revised
Publication Selby Local Plan and some key
associated documents are available to inspect
at the following locations during their normal
opening times (see the Council’s website at:

All the consultation documents are available to
view online on the Council’s consultation portal
https://selby-consult.objective.co.uk/kse, which
also gives further details including how to make
your representation.
There are online events taking place during the
consultation period where we will provide more
information and you can ask questions. See the

Representations must be received by North
Yorkshire Council no later than 4:30pm on
19 April 2024. Your representation must state
whether you consider the Selby Local Plan to be
legally compliant, meets the tests of soundness
and is compliant with the duty to co-operate.
