What is planned?
LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON NOTICE OF PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF AMENITY LAND AT THE LAWNS, UPPER NORWOOD SE19 3TS
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 that the London Borough of Croydon ("the Council") intends to dispose of a small area of public open space at The Lawns, Upper Norwood.
The area which is proposed to be sold comprises approximately 0.33 acres (0.1332 hectares) of amenity land.
Copies of a plan showing the approximate position of the affected land may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours Monday to Friday at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA and can also be viewed on the council website at www.croydon.gov.uk
By virtue of Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 the Council is required to give formal notice of its intention to dispose of public open space and consider any objections to the proposed disposal. Any objection or representations regarding the proposed disposal should be made in writing to Robert Lines, Interim Head of Property Services at estates. assets@croydon.gov.uk no later than 12 noon on Thursday 14 March 2024. The grounds for any objection should be stated.
