What is planned?
THREE RIVERS DISTRICT COUNCIL TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 (AS AMENDED) PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF MAKING A NON-IMMEDIATE DIRECTION UNDER ARTICLE 4 (1)
Notice is HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State has made a Direction ("the Direction") under Article 4 (1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England] Order 2015 (as amended) ("the Order"). The Direction withdraws the permitted development right granted by Class MA in Part 3 of Schedule 2 of the GpDO for development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage to a use falling within Class C3 (dwelling houses) of Schedule 1 to the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes Order) 1987 (as amended) ("Use Classes Order") from a use falling within Class E (commercia, business and services uses) in Schedule 2 of the Use Classes Order.
The effect of the Direction is that once it comes into force permitted development rights for this type of development are withdrawn and that a grant of panning permission will therefore be required for a change of use of a building from a use within Cass E of the Use Classes Order to a use within Cass C3 of the Use Classes Order in the areas specified below. The Direction relates to all land and buildings within the defined areas being:
1. Croxley Business Park
2. Maple Cross/ Mape Lodge Employment Area
3. Topits Lane Employment Area
4. Kings Langley Employment Area
5. Leavesden Park
6. Rickmansworth Town Centre
7. Chorleywood District Centre
8. Abbots Langley District Centre
9. South Oxhey District Centre
The Direction and the map defining the areas to which it relates can be viewed online at: https://www.threerivers.gov.uk/services/planning/planning-policy/article-4 In accordance with the GPDO, it is proposed the Direction shall come into force on 29 March 2024.
