ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Elm Close, Yatton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Date coming into force: 4 March 2024 - Ref: T23-82
Which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. This order is required because of carriageway resurfacing works and will become operative on 4 March 2024, anticipated to be of 8 days in duration between 8am and 5pm.
Schedule - Elm Close for full extent.
Alternative routes - Elm Close - Mendip Road, Chescombe Road and vice-versa
All Saints Lane, Clevedon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 3 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-003
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 3 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day between 9am and 5pm in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Kingdown Road, Bristol, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 4 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-012
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace poles and tree cutting. This will become operative on the 4 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 4.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Tower House Lane, Wraxall, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 4 April 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-014
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace pole. This will become operative on the 4 April 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Trendlewood Way, Nailsea, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 18 March 2024 - Ref: T24-11
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions, any vehicle associated with the works and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking emergency work.
This order is required in the interest of public safety and to facilitate works to improve the crossing on the Festival Way. It will become operative on the 18 March 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated, which is expected to be for 5 days. Appropriate traffic signs, cones, road safety barriers and traffic diversion route signage will be displayed when the measures are in force.
Schedule - Trendlewood Way from its junction with the northern end of Cherington Road in a northerly direction to its junction with Birch Dene.
Alternative route - Blackthorn Way, Nailsea Park and Station Road and vice-versa.
Lodge Lane, Nailsea, Backwell Bow, Backwell and Station Road, Flax Bourton, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 11 March 2024 - Ref: T24-12
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedules to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, for any North Somerset Council vehicle enforcing the restrictions, any vehicle associated with the works and for any vehicle with agreed dispensation from North Somerset Council undertaking emergency work.

Station Road, Flax Bourton 230m from outside The Poor House, Station Road in a southerly direction to just north of the entrance to Flax Bourton Primary School, Station Road.
Alternative routes - Lodge Lane, Nailsea - Blackthorn Way, Nailsea Park, Station Road, Bucklands Batch, Station Road, Backwell Common and vice-versa. Backwell Bow, Backwell - Backwell Common, Station Road, Farleigh Road (A370), Chapel Hill. Station Road, Flax Bourton - Main Road (A370), Clevedon Road (B3130) and vice-versa.
FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:
Down Road, Portishead, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists Date coming into force: 12 February 2024 - Ref: T23-81
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The maximum period for the closures is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.
This order was required because of carriageway reconstruction and patching works and will become operative on 12 February 2024, anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 8am and 5pm. Schedule - Down Road between the junction of Downleaze and the junction of Mendip Road.
Alternative routes -Down Road (part unaffected), West Hill, Nore Road and vice-versa.
Sandy Lane, Lower Failand, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 26 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-303
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Gigaclear to clear blockages. This will become operative on the 26 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Church Lane, Backwell, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 26 February 2024 - Ref: SW23.24-320
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles, and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to install new fire hydrant. This will become operative on the 26 February 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
