Draft Appraisal Of The Proposed Kensal Rise Conservation Area

PLANNING (LISTED BUILDINGS AND CONSERVATION AREAS) ACT 1990, SECTIONS 69 & 71 DRAFT APPRAISAL OF THE PROPOSED KENSAL RISE CONSERVATION AREA

NOTICE IS GIVEN under the provisions of the 1990 Act that the London Borough of Brent has assessed the special architectural and historic interest of Kensal Rise and has drawn up proposals for a conservation area (as required by Section 69 of the Act). The proposed Kensal Rise Conservation Area has been assessed in detail, the results of which have been set out in a draft Conservation Area Appraisal (as required by Section 71 of the Act).

The Council is seeking public views on the draft Appraisal of the proposed Kensal Rise Conservation Area. A six-week public consultation begins on 29 January and ends on 11 March 2024 to seek the views of residents, landowners and other interested stakeholders. The draft Appraisal Document, which includes the proposed conservation area boundary, can be found at www.brent.gov.uk/heritage and is available for inspection at all Brent public libraries.

We are holding a drop-in session if you would like to discuss the proposed changes and implications of living within a conservation area.

Any person may make representations on the draft Appraisal Documents and the proposed conservation area.
