Laindon Common Road, Planning Notice

Fisher German on behalf of UK Power Networks has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under Section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Laindon Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The proposed works are: UK Power Networks is looking to install a pad mount transformer (2.5m x 2.5m) and underground cable leading up the verge of Laindon Common Road to replace the existing equipment.

The site will be fully reinstated following completion of all works, which are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. During this time, it is expected that traffic management for Laindon Common Road will be required, alongside suitable temporary fencing and signage, to ensure the safety of all personnel on site and users of the common.

A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at Laindon Community Centre, Aston Road / High Road, Laindon, Essex, SS15 6NX between hours/days as shown below, until Monday 19th February 2024.
