Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the order: To Implement: 'Bus Gate Restriction allowing buses, motorcycles, pedal cycles, taxis, and private hire vehicles (licensed by a local authority) only'.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Boxted Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with The Causeway for a distance of approximately 100m in an easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th February 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF6HV94TLA01 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while poling works are undertaken by Openreach.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th February 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2355986 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Kimberley Road/Morant Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Kimberley Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m north of its junction with Harsnett Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a northerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Morant Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 160m east of its junction with Wimpole Road for a distance of approximately 25m in an easterly direction.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Northgate Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 30m west of its junction with Short Cut Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th February 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30004377258 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surface reinstatement works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Short Cut Road, St Peters Street, North Hill, Middleborough, Middleborough Roundabout, Balkerne Hill Southbound, Maldon Road Roundabout, Southway Eastbound, Headgate, Head Street (with access only into Northgate Street).
The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rowhedge Road, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rowhedge Road, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 50m south east of its junction with Battlesbrook Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th February 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03163060792 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Head Street, Rectory Road, Fingringhoe Road and vice versa (with access only into Rowhedge Road and Marsh Crescent). The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Suspension of One-Way Restriction) & (Trinity Street, Colchester) (Temporary Suspension of One Way Restriction) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester in the City of Colchester from a point approximately 15m west of its junction with Trinity Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in Sir Isaacs Walk, Colchester from its junction with Trinity Street to its junction with Headgate as cited in 'The Colchester Borough (Culver Street West, Trinity Street and Sir Isaac's Walk, Colchester) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1996 for the duration of the closure.
3. To temporarily suspend the one-way restriction in Trinity Street, Colchester from its junction with Culver Street West to its junction with Sir Isaac's Walk as cited in 'The Colchester Borough (Culver Street West, Trinity Street and Sir Isaac's Walk, Colchester) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1996 for the duration of the closure.
The closure/suspensions are scheduled to commence on 8th February 2024 for 1 night (19:00 - 06:30), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010735825/1 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
No alternative route is available (with access only into Culver Street West, Trinity Street and Sir Isaacs Walk).
The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway/Eight Ash Green) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Turkey Cock Lane, Stanway/Eight Ash Green in the City of Colchester, from the junction with London Road to the junction with Daisy Green Road a distance of approximately 1300m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st February 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2356905 -Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via London Road, Western Approach, Tollgate Roundabout, Essex Yeomanry Way, Halstead Road Roundabout, Halstead Road, Turkey Cock Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 18th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Station Road, Frating) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Station Road, Frating in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Great Bentley Road to its junction with Frating Road a distance of approximately 520m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd January 2024 for 35 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX047STATIONRD-FM - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while flowmeter installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Frating Road, Great Bentley Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 4th January 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
