What is planned?
WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
A49 Winwick Rd (Prohibition of Right Turn) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle proceeding on the A49 Winwick Rd from making a right hand turn into Kerfoot St. The Order will be effective from 18th January 2024 for 2 weeks, between 7:30pm & 11pm, however it is anticipated the works will only take one night to complete. The alternative route will be via Lythgoes Ln, Cockhedge Green Roundabout, Lythgoes Ln, Winwick Rd, Kerfoot St. The restriction is required to facilitate a drainage survey for proposed highway works. A57 Manchester Rd (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on A57 Manchester Rd from its jct. with Warburton Bridge Rd to its jct. with Glazebrook Ln. The Order will be effective from 4th March 2024 for 7 weeks, between 7pm & 1am. The alternative route will be via A57 Manchester Rd, Woolston Grange Ave, A574 Birchwood Way, Birchwood Park Ave, A574 Warrington Rd, B5212 Holcroft Ln, B5212 Glazebrook Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow for carriageway resurfacing. Ref: 2622074
A57 Sankey Way (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on A57 Sankey Way (Westbound) from the roundabout at Priestley Street/Lovely Lane/Thewlis Street (Pink Eye Roundabout) to the jct. at Cromwell Ave Sth. The Order will be effective from 12th February 2024 for 6 weeks, between 7pm & 5am. The alternative route will be via Priestley St, Froghall Ln, Midland Way, Lythgoes Ln, Winwick Rd, Cromwell Ave & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow for carriageway resurfacing. Dingle Ln, Appleton (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Dingle Ln from its jct. with Cann Ln Nth to its jct. with Lumb Brook Rd. The Order will be effective from 29th January 2024 for 1 week. The alternative route will be via Longwood Rd, Witherwin Ave, Lumb Brook Rd & vice versa. The closure is required to allow Freedom Fibre to carry out cable installation works. Ref: 5393016
Padgate Ln (Northbound) (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Padgate Ln (northbound) from its jct. with King Edward St to its jct. with Orford Rd. The Order will be effective from 30th January 2024 for 2 days, between 9:30am & 3:30pm. The alternative route will be via Manchester Rd, Woolston Grange Ave & Birchwood Way. The closure is required to allow Warrington Borough Council to carry out tree maintenance works. Ref: 5378816
Padgate Ln (Southbound) (Prohibition of Driving) Temporary Order 2024
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Padgate Ln (southbound) from its jct. with Marsh House Ln to its jct. with Manchester Rd. The Order will be effective from 23rd January 2024 for 2 days, between 9:30am & 3:30pm. The alternative route will be via Padgate Ln, King Edward St & Manchester Rd. The closure is required to allow Warrington Borough Council to carry out tree maintenance works. Ref: 5368584
The temporary restrictions will be in place as & when the signs are in place on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The Borough of Warrington (A573 Parkside Link Rd) (Prohibition of U-turn) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 & 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit Motor Vehicles proceeding along the A573 Parkside Link Rd in a south easterly direction from making a U-turn at the traffic signals, so as to proceed north westerly in the opposite direction.
