What is planned?

Statutory consultation to run from
Monday, 22nd January 2024 to Sunday, 3rd March 2024

Beacon Fen Energy Park is a new renewable energy development on land to the east of Ewerby, near Sleaford, Lincolnshire, proposed by developer Low Carbon. The project’s solar array and battery
storage site is proposed on land east of Ewerby to the north of Heckington, while a cable route corridor
is proposed that would connect the solar array to Bicker Fen National Grid substation.
Beacon Fen Energy Park is expected to generate approximately 400 megawatts (MW) of energy –
providing enough clean energy to power over 130,000 UK homes and avoid up to 72,000 tonnes of CO2
emissions annually – with a battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity of up to 600 MW.
The consultation period runs from Monday, 22nd January 2024 to 11:59pm on Sunday, 3rd March 2024
and we would like to hear your views on the project.
You can find out more by visiting www.beaconfenenergypark.co.uk and by joining us at one of our
public events or online webinars, listed below.

As part of the consultation, communities and stakeholders will be able to read and have their say
on the project’s Preliminary Environmental Impact Report (PEIR). Hard copies will be available to view
at all in-person events, while a digital copy will be available to download here –
