Notice of proposed development/works at (a) 89 Manchester Road, Nelson. 23/0835/FUL Full: Change of use of ground floor from office/living accommodation to takeaway (Sui Generis)/living accommodation, erection of two-storey rear extension and the erection of a new shop front. The proposal is within the Whitefield Conservation Area.

(b) Middle Beardshaw Head, Burnley Road, Trawden. 23/0848/HHO Full: Erection of a detached garage with carport, replacement of existing conservatory, new gates to entrance and alterations to dwelling. The proposal is within the Trawden Forest Conservation Area. The proposal affects the setting of a Listed Building. A public right of way is adjacent to the proposal. As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of representations in writing, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.

(c) The Substation, Northlight Parade, Brierfield. 23/0841/LBC Listed Building Consent: External and internal refurbishment of the existing substation to form a new coffee shop. The proposal affects a Listed Building. The proposal is within the Brierfield Mills Conservation Area. (d) Middle Beardshaw Head, Burnley Road, Trawden. 23/0849/LBC Listed Building Consent: Erection of a detached garage with carport, replacement conservatory, new gates to entrance and alterations to dwelling. The proposal affects a Listed Building. The proposal is within a Trawden Forest Conservation Area. A public right of way is adjacent to the proposal. The Council has received these applications and is required to advertise them under the above legislation. Copies of the applications can be inspected during normal office hours at Number One Market Street, Nelson until 26 January 2024. Any representations about these applications should be made either in writing to the Planning Services Manager, Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG, so as to arrive not later than 26 January 2024; or, a copy of the application can be inspected on the Council’s website (www.pendle.gov.uk under Environment/Planning/View Planning Applications) and comments made online. All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details. However, we will endeavour to prevent signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses from appearing on the comments published on the internet. Decisions are normally made within six to eight weeks (11 to 13 weeks for major planning applications). Details of the decision will not automatically be sent to those that have made comments.
