What is planned?

Notice under Article 13 of the Town & Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015, Section 67 & 73 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, and Regulation 5 & 5A of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Regulations 1990.

North Yorkshire Council (Craven) has received the following applications that are required to be advertised under the above legislation for the reasons stated.

Application No: ZA23/25572/FUL. Proposal: Extension to provide kitchen accommodation (replacing previous concrete block building), together with minor amendments (partially retrospective) to permitted scheme for conversion of main barn to dwelling (granted under 2021/22446/VAR). for Mr & Mrs V & S Franks. Location: Lower Bawes Edge Farm Cowling BD22 0NA Reason(s): Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA23/25573/LBC. Proposal: Extension to provide kitchen accommodation (replacing previous concrete block building), together with minor amendments (partially retrospective) to permitted scheme for conversion of main barn to dwelling (granted under 2021/22446/VAR). for Mr & Mrs V & S Franks. Location: Lower Bawes Edge Farm Cowling BD22 0NA Reason(s): Proposes works to a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA23/25492/FUL. Proposal: Full planning permission for erection of four two storey houses and works to boundary walls for Mrs Nancy Ellison/RN Wooler & Co. Location: Grundy Farm Carleton BD23 3DE Reason(s): Is a proposal for demolition of an unlisted building in a Conservation Area. Affects the character and appearance of a Conservation Area. Affects the setting of a Listed Building.

Application No: ZA23/25536/PPP. Proposal: This application seeks permission in principle for the development of a detached dwelling for Markshaw Development Ltd Location: Land at Castle Hill Barn 2 High Street Burton In Lonsdale LA6 3JU Reason(s): Wider Publicity (14 day consultation only, expires 18th January 2024).

The applications are available to view and for comment online at publicaccess.cravendc.gov.uk/online-applications or electronically at 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ.

Representations can also be sent in writing to Development Management, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, BD23 1FJ so as to arrive no later than 25th January 2024 (except ZA23/25536/PPP which expires 18th January 2024).

All comments received will be available for public inspection and will be viewable on the internet along with the application details.
