What is planned?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(WEST STREET SERVICE ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends
not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of West Street Service Road, Leighton Buzzard.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 22 to 26 January 2024 between the hours of 8pm and 5am. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
There is no alternative route for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 22 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(PLANTATION ROAD, LEIGHTON BUZZARD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Plantation Road, Leighton Buzzard between Tall Pines and Greenhill.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repair works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 8 to 12 January 2024 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Plantation Road, Heath Road, Leighton Road, Birds Hill, Linslade Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 8 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(WOOD END, TINGRITH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Wood End, Tingrith.
This temporary closure is required to enable safe access to an underground structure and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 7 January 2024 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period. There is no alternative route for this closure. Access to be maintained when safe to do so.
The Order will come into operation on 7 January 2024 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
