Weymouth, Planning Notice

CSWE5 Limited, a subsidiary of Windel Energy & Recurrent Energy consults on Buckland Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) proposed on land south of Nottington Lane, near Buckland Ripers, Weymouth. Buckland BESS is a proposed new battery storage facility and associated infrastructure, with a storage capacity of up to 150MW. Associated infrastructure includes cabling via the highway and step-up transformers to support the battery storage and connection into Chickerell National Grid Substation.

We are holding a public exhibition to share information about our plans and seek feedback from stakeholders and the local community. This drop-in event is being held on: 15 December 2023 between 1pm and 7pm at Willowbed Hall 14 Putton Lane, Chickerell, Weymouth, DT3 4AJ We have launched our consultation website www.bucklandbatterystorage.co.uk where further project information and documents can be viewed. The deadline for comments on the proposal is 22 December 2023.
