The Oval, Planning Notice
What is planned?
Following on from the 4 stages of public consultation held between November 2022 and November 2023 in regards to the Oval, Stevenage Borough Council will shortly be submitting a planning application for the redevelopment of this site. As part of this process, we must let anyone who is a tenant or leaseholder of the site know by law. This "Certificate" below is a formality of part of this process and you do not meed to take any action. Once we have submitted the application, you will have further opportunities to comment on the details of the application in the new year. The application will be publicised via notices in around the Oval, as well as online. Information regarding the design proposals can still be assessed from www.givemyview.com/ovalregen or by contacting Housing.development@stevenage.gov.uk

NOTICE UNDER ARTICLE 13 OF APPLICATION FOR PLANNING PERMISSION
Proposed development at: The Oval, Pin Green, Stevenage, SG1 5RB
Take notice that an application is being made by: Stevenage Borough Council (Housing Development)
To: Stevenage Borough Council
For: Hybrid Application for the comprehensive redevelopment of land at The Oval comprising: an Outline Application for a mixed use development on parcels A, B and D to include up to 250 dwellings, 1200sqm of mixed use commercial (Class E), parking and public realm improvements including a new Market Square, up to 2650sqm of retail (Class E) and 220sqm mixed use (Class E and Sui Generis) and parking on Parcel C, and a Full Application for the construction of 91 dwellings and shared communal facilities for Independent Living (Parcel E), community building including place of worship and public realm (Parcel F).
Any owner* of the land or tenant** who wishes to make representations about this application, should write to the council within 21 days of the date of this notice.

* "owner" means a person having a freehold interest or a leasehold interest the unexpired term of which is not less than seven years.
** "tenant" means a tenant of an agricultural holding any part of which is comprised in the land.

Statement of owners' rights:
The grant of planning permission does not affect owners' rights to retain or dispose of their property, unless there is some provision to the contrary in an agreement or lease.
Statement of agricultural tenants' rights: The grant of planning permission for non-agricultural development may affect agricultural tenants' security of tenure.
