What is planned?

NORTH LANARKSHIRE COUNCIL

North Lanarkshire Council intend to submit a planning application to North Lanarkshire Council for Chryston High School Extension.

The Extension will provide new sports facilities, classrooms and in addition, a new Early Years/ Nursery facility.

Externally, the playground will incorporate new hard and soft landscaping, a sports pitch and additional car parking spaces for teaching staff. Following submission of a Proposal of Application Notice to North Lanarkshire Council Planning Department on 15/09/2023 and as part of the pre-application consultation process, the applicant, North Lanarkshire Council, give notice of their intention to hold a public consultation event in connection with the development which the public are invited to participate in.

The Meeting will take place in person at Chryston High School on Wednesday 6th December 2023 between the hours of 17:00 and 20:00 and follows meetings held on Wednesday 4th October and Wednesday 22nd November. This meeting will form part of the pre-application consultation process. No planning application has been submitted at this time.

Comments can be made in writing to BDP Ltd at 15 Exchange Place, Glasgow, G1 3AN or by email to glasgowstudio@bdp.com. Comments should contain the subject heading ‘Chryston High School Extension’.

Responses to the consultation should be returned no later than Wednesday 27th December 2023.

Please note that all written representations on the pre-application consultation must be sent to the postal address and not to North Lanarkshire Council. Comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the Planning Authority.

When the Council submit a formal planning application there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Planning Authority.
