Gartcosh Community Hub, Glasgow - Proposal for Relocation of Gartcosh Primary School & New Community Facilities

PRE-APPLICATION CONSULTATION, GARTCOSH COMMUNITY HUB

North Lanarkshire Council intend to submit a planning application to North Lanarkshire Council for Gartcosh Community Hub. The new campus will relocate Gartcosh Primary School and provide a new Language Communication Skills Centre, Nursery Class and Community Facilities.

Externally, the playground will incorporate new hard and soft landscaping, and car parking for the facility.

Following submission of a Proposal of Application Notice to North Lanarkshire Council Planning Department on 20/09/2023 and as part of the pre-application consultation process, the applicant, North Lanarkshire Council, give notice of their intention to hold a public in person consultation event in connection with the development which the public are invited to participate in.

The Meeting will take place in person at Gartcosh Primary School on Thursday 7th December between the hours of 17:00pm and 20:00pm. These meetings form part of the pre-application consultation process. No planning application has been submitted at this time.

Comments can be made in writing to BDP Ltd, 15 Exchange Place, Glasgow, G1 3AN, or by email to glasgowstudio@bdp.com. Comments should contain the subject heading ‘Gartcosh Community Hub’. Responses to the consultation should be returned no later than 20th December 2023.

Please note that all written representations on the pre-application consultation must be sent to the postal address and not to North Lanarkshire Council. Comments made to the prospective applicant are not representations to the Planning Authority.

When the Council submit a formal planning application there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Planning Authority.

Pedestrian access will be permitted, where practicable, during the closure.

Vehicular access will be permitted, where practicable, during the closure. The Order, will come into operation at 0800 hours on Monday, 20th November 2023 and will remain in operation until 1700 hours on Sunday, 3rd December 2023.
