What is planned?
CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS OLD FARLEIGH ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water service on behalf of SES Water, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic movements in Old Farleigh Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Old Farleigh Road will be closed between its junction with Addington Road and the common boundary of Nos. 4 and 6 Old Farleigh Road.
3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Addington Road, Selsdon Park Road, Featherbed Lane, Fairchildes Road, Chelsham Court Road, Beech Farm Road, Limpsfield Road, Chelsham Road, Sunny Bank, Farleigh Road, Old Fairleigh Road and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 29 October 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.
b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the construction of a retaining wall, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the Valley Park exit road off the A23 Purley Way, which gives access to Ampere Way.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place the Valley Park exit off Purley Way will be closed between its junctions with Purley Way and Ampere Way.
3. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Purley Way, Beddington Farm Road and Ampere Way as appropriately sign-posted.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 23 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight on weeknights between 9pm and 5am and completed on 13 November 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

CROYDON COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4 (7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 WELLESLEY ROAD & BEDFORD PARK. CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate manhole chamber survey works in the tramway by FM Conway, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Wellesley Road and Bedford Park, Croydon.2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Vehicles proceeding in Wellesley Road will be banned from turning right into Bedford Park.
b) The dedicated right-hand turn lane on the west side of Wellesley Road will be closed between a point opposite the junction with Station Road and the junction with Bedford Park.
3. Whilst the restrictions are in force the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be to continue northwards along Wellesley Road at its junction with Poplar Walk, following the one-way system around Newgate to Wellesley Road (southbound) and Bedford Park.
4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said work.
b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
5. The Order will come into operation on 06 November 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight between 1am and 4am. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further work be required.
