What is planned?

4. The Order will come into operation on 21 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 29 October 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs, Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984 SECTION 14. AS AMENDED
THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC PURLEY WAY. CROYDON (VALLEY PARK EXIT)
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate the construction of a retaining wall, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in the Valley Park exit road off the A23 Purley Way, which gives access to Ampere Way.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place the Valley Park exit off Purley Way will be closed between its junctions with Purley Way and Ampere Way.
3. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Purley Way, Beddington Farm Road and Ampere Way as appropriately sign-posted.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 23 October 2023, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out overnight on weeknights between 9pm and 5am and completed on 13 November 2023. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibition will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs. 5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
