NOTICE UNDER REGULATION 20 OF SUBMISSION OF ENVIRONMENTAL STATEMENT
EDF Energy Renewables Limited (company registration number 06456689) of Alexander House, 1 Mandarin Road, Rainton Bridge Business Park, Houghton Le Spring, Sunderland, DH4 5RA applied to South Norfolk District Council for planning permission to install a grid connection cable (which is a subsequent application to application reference 2021/2495 consented 4 August 2022), at Bloy's Grove Solar Farm, Swainsthorpe to Norwich South National Grid Substation at Mangreen. The planning application was submitted on 13th December 2022 and has been allocated reference number 2022/2350.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that EDF Energy Renewables Limited has submitted an Environmental Statement to South Norfolk District Council in relation to planning application 2022/2350 comprising of: (1) an Environmental Statement ("ES") submitted in respect of the now consented Bloy's Grove Solar Farm (application 2021/2495); and (2) an Environmental Statement Addendum ("ESA") prepared in respect of the Bloy's Grove Solar Farm Grid Connection application.
The ESA specifically relates to the grid connection application but is being submitted alongside the solar farm ES on the basis that the grid connection proposal is considered to be directly relevant to the solar farm proposal and is required to be assessed in that context. Only the ESA considers the impacts of the grid connection proposal, but the grid connection proposal is considered to constitute environmental impact assessment ("EIA") development solely on the basis that it is connected to the solar farm proposal, which proposal was EIA development.
