Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C50 (Part), Bishops Cannings; from its junction with Townsend for a distance of approximately 200m in a northerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out works to excavate a trench across the carriageway for a new electricity connection and other associated works. Alternative route via C50 (unaffected length) - C249 - Fieldside - Townsend and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 16 October 2023 and the closure will be required until 20 October 2023. N) Northbound: via A350 - A420 - A4 - A3102 - B4042 - A429 (unaffected length) and vice versa. N) Southbound: via A429 (unaffected length) - B4042 - A3102 - A4 - A420 - A350 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 September 2023 and the closures will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 until 21 October 2023. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions.
