THE DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL

DINAN WAY EXTENSION, EXMOUTH

COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2023

On 06 September 2023 Devon County Council made The Devon County Council (Dinan Way Extension, Exmouth) Compulsory Purchase Order 2023 under sections 239, 240, 246, 250 and 260 of the Highways Act 1980. The Council is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Transport for confirmation and if confirmed the order will authorise the Devon County Council to purchase compulsorily the land and the new rights described below for the purpose of:-

(a) Facilitating the development and improvement of Dinan Way in Exmouth, East Devon consisting of land between the existing junction of Dinan Way/Hulham Road to the A376 Exmouth Road, Exmouth, Devon which is likely to contribute to the achievement of the promotion I or improvement of the economic, social or environmental well-being of | the area; and

(b) Executing works to facilitate the development or use of land

A copy of the order and the accompanying map have been deposited and may be seen at:

• Devon County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2 4QD

(Mon - Thurs 8:30 - 17:30 and Fri 8:30 - 17:00)

• East Devon District Council, Exmouth Town Hall, St Andrew's Road, Exmouth, EX8 1AW

(Mon - Thurs 9:00 - 17:00 and Fri 9:00 - 16:30) and electronic copies may be obtained by contacting transportplanning@devon.gov.uk.

Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Department for Transport, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7AR quoting the reference SDT/DEV001/250, before 04 October 2023 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector's address and interests in the land. (Please note that in submitting an objection it should be noted that personal data and correspondence relating to any objection will be passed to Devon County Council in order that the Council can contact you directly to address the issues raised. If any person does not wish personal data to be so used, they should state why when submitting the objection and the Secretary of State will copy the representations to the Council with the name and address removed and if there is to be a local public inquiry the representations will be seen by the Inspector who may give them less weight).

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AND NEW RIGHTS IN THE DISTRICT OF EAST DEVON

• All interests in 377 square metres of hedge and grassland on the east side of Exmouth Road, Lympstone

• All interests in 31342 square metres of grassland with hedges situate at The Harefield Estate, Lympstone, Exmouth, EX8 5AU

• A right of access over the land in connection with the creation and maintenance of a surface water drainage system in 17379 square metres of grassland with hedges situate at The Harefield Estate, Lympstone, Exmouth, EX8 5AU

• All interests in 5167 square metres of grassland with hedges at Summerfield House, Summer Lane, Exmouth, EX8 5BD

• All interests in 271 square metres of grassland at Summerfield House, Summer Lane, Exmouth, EX8 5BD

• All interests in 1250 square metres of grassland and woodland known as Reservoir, Summer Lane, Exmouth

• All interests in 2296 square metres of grassland with hedges adjoining Old Slaughter House, Hulham Road, Exmouth, EX8 5BA

• All interests in 1776 square metres of caravan site and domestic garden situate at and adjoining Greenacres, Hulham Road, Exmouth, EX8 5BA
