What is planned?
Notice of Public Exhibition and Pre-Application Consultation
Proposal: Geocore Ltd is proposing to construct a 250MW battery energy storage facility located on land to the East of Newarthill electricity substation on Legbrannock Road, to the North of Newarthill.
More information about the proposal and key environmental topics being considered for the planning application will be made available at the exhibition and on-line at www.geocoreltd.co.uk/newarthill-bess.
The public exhibitions will be in the form of an informal drop-in session. We will have draft layout plans of the proposal available to view and feedback forms will be made available.
You are invited to attend a public exhibition to take place on the following dates and locations:

Any comments or feedback on the consultation should be submitted to Geocore Ltd by 15th September 2023.
Any comments or feedback on the proposal made at these events are not representations to the Scottish Ministers. If Geocore Ltd submits an application in due course, there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application to the Scottish Ministers.
