Section 20B(4)(c) Development Plan Schemes Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (as amended)

Notice is hereby given that South Lanarkshire Council has opened consultation on its draft Participation Statement in relation to the preparation of the next Local Development Plan.  The consultation seeks comments on the proposed methods for engagement and consultation including when then is likely to take place, with whom and its likely form, including the steps to be taken to involve the public.
Copies of the council’s draft Participation Statement have been deposited at:


(1) South Lanarkshire Council Headquarters
 Almada Street
 Hamilton
 South Lanarkshire
 ML3 0AA


The document can also be accessed online at all local libraries and via the
council’s website at: www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk :- South Lanarkshire Council
Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement or accessed via the
QR Code below;

The document is available for inspection at the council offices mentioned
above, between the hours of 9am and 4.45pm, Monday to Thursday and 9am
and 4.15pm.


Representations on the draft guidance should be sent either by e-mail to
localplan@southlanarkshire.gov.uk or in writing to: Planning and Building
Standards HQ, Floor 6, Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA.
Representations must be received by the council on or before 4pm on
Friday 21 July 2023
