What is planned?

NEWARK AND SHERWOOD DISTRICT COUNCIL NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14 STOPPING UP ORDER FOR BR1 AND A SECTION OF BR3 AT MIDDLEBECK, NEWARK 2023

The above Order was made on 16 May 2023, under section 257 of the Town and County Planning Act 1990. The effect of the order will be to stop up that part of the public bridleway named Hawton Bridleway 3 running from a point marked SK 7914 5148 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 352 metres in a generally northerly direction to a point marked SK 7916 5183 as shown on the order map. Additionally the effect of the Order will be to stop up that part of the public bridleway known as Hawton Bridleway 1 shown on the attached plan commencing from the said point marked SK 7916 5183 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 913 metres in a generally easterly direction to a point marked SK 8000 5180 as shown on the order map. A copy of the Order and the order map can be viewed on the Council’s website (https://newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk/consultation/) or may be obtained by telephoning Customer Services at Newark and Sherwood District Council on 01636 650000 or emailing customerservices@nsdc.info whereupon a copy of the Order and the order map will be emailed or sent by post to any enquirer. In addition, a copy of the Order and the order map may be seen free of charge at Castle House Great North Road Newark NG24 1BY from 9.00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays (other than Bank Holidays). Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to Sue Bearman, Newark and Sherwood District Council, Castle House, Great North Road, Newark, NG24 1BY no later than 23rd June 2023 If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Newark and Sherwood District Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food & Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
