(Elm Row & Church Street, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2023

The Scottish Borders Council (Elm Row & Church Street, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2023 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 24 April 2023 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 16 October 2024 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required to facilitate the sweep path of articulated vehicles accessing the new Galashiels Academy site.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked on Elm Row and Church Street, Galashiels as follows:

(a) Elm Row – both sides from Scott Crescent southwards for a distance of 30 metres; and

(b) Church Street – north side only from a point 35 metres east of its junction with Elm Row for a distance of 12 metres.
